House Beautiful published editors’ shopping picks ahead of Amazon’s October Prime Big Deal Days, scheduled for Oct. 6–7, 2026. The list spans home, kitchen and seasonal products; some were already discounted when the article was published, but prices and availability may change.
House Beautiful has published a list of editors’ shopping picks ahead of Amazon’s October Prime Big Deal Days, scheduled for Oct. 6–7, 2026. The recommendations include home, kitchen and seasonal items, with the article reporting that several were already discounted when it was published.
The roundup is based on items editors say they are considering for their own shopping lists, rather than a reported ranking of the sale’s best prices. Associate Shopping Editor Janae McKenzie highlighted plant-cleaning gloves, a towel warmer and the BISSELL Little Green Mini portable carpet cleaner. Senior Commerce Editor Marina Liao selected an UGG blanket, decorative picture frames, Christmas garlands, espresso cups and a ceramic utensil holder.
Other picks include a silicone over-the-sink drying rack from Senior Digital Editor Melanie Yates and a walnut Boos Block cutting board from Deputy Editor, Commerce Heath Owens. The editors described practical reasons for their choices, including limited kitchen drying space, rug-cleaning problems and a desire for warmer towels or seasonal decorations.
The source lists discounts for some products: the plant gloves were marked 32% off, the blanket 10% off, the picture frames 20% off and the carpet cleaner 29% off. Those figures are the discounts stated in the House Beautiful report; the article does not provide a consistent price history or establish how long each offer will last.
A Curated Shortcut Through Sale Picks
The roundup gives shoppers a shortlist drawn from editors’ stated preferences instead of requiring them to browse a large sale catalog from scratch. Its value is in the range of product ideas and the editors’ explanations of how they might use them, from cleaning a rug to drying baking equipment.
That format does not establish that any item is the lowest-priced option or the best choice for every household. The listed discounts can help readers identify offers to check, but shoppers still need to confirm the current price, product details and availability on the retailer’s listing before buying.

The October Sale Schedule
House Beautiful’s report describes Prime Big Deal Days as a 48-hour sale running Oct. 6–7, 2026. It presents the event as an opportunity for editors to revisit items they had saved or were already considering, with some products discounted before the sale dates.
The article is a shopping recommendation, not an announcement from Amazon confirming every offer in the roundup. Its product descriptions and savings figures should be understood as information reported by House Beautiful at publication, rather than a guarantee that prices will remain the same throughout the event.
““I love that it rolls up and out of the way until I need to pull it out.””

Prices and Stock May Change
Current prices and inventory are not confirmed here. The source gives discount percentages for only some picks and does not state a uniform price-check time, the original prices used to calculate the reductions, or how long each deal will remain available. It also does not give discount figures for every item in the editors’ list.
The recommendations reflect the editors’ stated plans and preferences; they do not confirm that each editor purchased the product. The source does not establish that the products are exclusive to Prime Big Deal Days or that shoppers must have a Prime membership to access every listed price. Readers should check the relevant product listing and sale terms.
