Meross smart-home products are discounted by up to 38% in Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, according to CNET. The report lists a Wi-Fi water timer at $72 and a garage-door opener kit at $59; deal availability and prices may change.
Selected Meross smart-home devices are discounted by as much as 38% during Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, according to a CNET deals report. The listed offers include a Wi-Fi water timer for $72 and a smart garage-door opener kit for $59, giving shoppers lower-priced options for garden watering and remote home access while the sale is active.
CNET identifies the Meross Wi-Fi water timer as the largest discount in the deals it highlights. The report gives its sale price as $72, down $44 from a $116 list price. The device connects to a garden hose or sprinkler system and can control two watering zones, according to the report. It also uses real-time weather information to skip watering when rain is forecast. Those functions may be useful to households managing plants with different watering needs, though the report does not provide independent testing of this particular offer.
The sale also includes several Meross garage-door opener kits. CNET lists one remote model at $59, compared with a $70 list price, describing it as a 15% discount. The report says the unit has an external antenna intended to improve Wi-Fi reception and extend its reach. It does not identify every discounted kit or give prices for all models in the range.
Other Meross products mentioned in the report include a smart thermostat listed at $68 and an outdoor smart plug with a reported 15% discount. CNET also notes deals on smart plugs and strip lights, but the supplied report does not state prices for those products. Prices, stock and discount calculations can change during a retailer promotion, so shoppers should check the current Amazon listing and product details before buying.
Lower Prices for Home Automation
The offers bring down the upfront cost of several types of connected home equipment, from watering controls to garage access. For shoppers already considering these devices, a sale price can make it easier to compare automated features against basic timers, plugs or remotes. The reported discount is a retailer promotion, however, and does not establish how much a buyer might save over time on water or energy bills.
The deal may be time-sensitive: CNET presents the prices as part of Amazon’s October Prime Day sale and advises readers to shop while the offers remain available. Buyers should weigh the sale price against compatibility, installation needs and the features they will actually use. A discounted product is not necessarily the best fit for every home, especially when a device must work with existing equipment or a preferred smart-home system.

Devices Featured in the Sale
Meross sells a range of smart-home products, and the CNET report focuses on several categories rather than one product launch. Its examples cover garden irrigation, garage-door control, thermostat management, outdoor power and lighting. The article frames the thermostat discount as timely for colder months and the outdoor plug offer as potentially useful for seasonal decorations, but those are use cases, not guarantees of a particular energy or cost saving.
CNET also points readers to alternatives from other brands. It describes the Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium as its favorite smart thermostat of 2026 and says it was on sale for $210, while noting that it costs considerably more than the Meross thermostat listed at $68. That comparison illustrates a price difference between products; it does not establish that the devices have equivalent features or performance. CNET’s report further refers readers to its coverage of Anker deals, but does not provide details of those offers here.

Prices and Stock May Change
The available source is CNET’s deals report; it does not independently confirm that each listed price remains live or that products are in stock. Amazon’s current listing price, discount and availability may differ from the figures in the report, and no sale end time is provided in the supplied material.
The report also does not specify the exact model numbers for every product, the full set of discounted Meross devices, or whether each offer requires a Prime membership. It gives no detailed compatibility or installation guidance for the thermostat, opener or water timer. Shoppers should verify those points on the product page and in the device documentation before purchasing.

Check Listings Before Buying
Readers interested in the offers can compare the models and prices on Amazon’s Meross sale listings, as CNET recommends. Before placing an order, check the live price, stock status, model number and compatibility requirements, and review the seller’s return terms. Because the source does not provide a specific closing date, it is not possible to say how long any individual discount will last.
Any further update would depend on changes to Amazon’s listings or new reporting that verifies the offers. Until then, the prices and discounts in this report should be treated as the figures CNET cited for its coverage of the October Prime Day sale, not as a guarantee of current availability.
